How We Met

We met on Match.com....it really does work =). I wrote Jimmy first. Thank goodness he responded. We met a few days later in Todos Santos park in Concord. He was waiting for me on a park bench reading Harry Potter. He had brought along Kool Aide and Hersheys miniatures...chocolate, my favorite.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Jimmy spent a lot of time and thought on our engagement. That evening he was throwing me a dinner for my '1/2 birthday'. He was throwing me this dinner because ever since we met I've always talked about my 1/2 birthday and this was the last time I was going to be in my 20's. So...I was in the shower and when I got out there was a card on my towel that said I must follow the clues to get to my destination. I was very confused. Next, on our bed was a card that led me to believe I was getting a pedicure/manicure. So my girlfriends (who were all in on it) Alicja and Lori took me to the nail place. After we were done there, Lori gave me a gift from Jimmy and my next clue which led me to Berkeleys Chabot Space Center (where we went on our 2nd date). Here, my friend Laura showed up with another gift from Jimmy, he named a star after me, and the clue to the next spot. This clue led me back to the place we first met. After I read this clue I knew. So we headed to Todos Santos Park and there he was sitting on 'our' bench. My parents and close friends were 'hiding' in the park so they could witness the event. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. From there we went to our engagment dinner a.k.a 1/2 birthday dinner. My girls wrote all over his car 'Jimmy and Katie' 'just engaged' 'she said yes'. It was the best day EVER!!!

ABOUT THE BIG DAY
We are having a quaint little party just south of Monterey. We love the beach so we will have a TOGA style themed wedding and we are putting our heart and soul into this shindig.
